This year’s 4th Banja Luka M: TEL half-marathon will be held on a completely new, 21km long, track which spreads through green alleys, parks and the most famous settlements in Banja Luka all the way to the Kastel fortress. The new half-marathon route has also been given the official AIMS certificate, thus placing it on the list of half-marathon tracks on which one can set records for the Olympic, national, continental and world races.
In addition to setting personal records, our runners will now be able to achieve qualifying times for major world marathons. Holder of the “five-star” certificate from the European Athletics, and the fourth largest marathon in the region, this half-marathon will gather around 2000 contestants from more than 40 countries and, next to the new, attractive running track, it will also take form of a festival enriched with many educational, promotional and entertainment activities.
The path of the Banjaluka Half marathon is certified by AIMS and apart from personal records, you can achieve qualification time for the as well as for some of the world's major marathons, which require qualification time, such as New York and others.
To register and to become an official participant in the Banjaluka Half marathon, first you must confirm that you agree with the following rules! The rules apply to all race participants and please read carefully before you sign up and fill out an official registration form for Banjaluka half-marathon. Completing and submitting the application, which can be filled on our website, you automatically accept things stated in the regulations. The rules are binding on all runners and organizers, and include guidance related to the race and organization of this sporting event.
The organizer takes care of runner's security, and will take safety measures to keep every runner safe. Every runner will be insured. At the start/finish line or on the race course pets and strollers are not allowed. According to the IAAF and AIMS rules, all runners must leave the race if any race official asks them to do so. If the race is cancelled for an unforeseen circumstances (weather conditions, unforeseen reason), the entry fee will not be refunded. The transfer of the registration to another runner is possible, but this but not on the day of the race.
