At 2nd Banjaluka Half-marathon, 280 enthusiasts have entered the city's sports history as the participants of the first relay half-marathon. The race formed by four people, one half-marathon dream and one goal united 70 teams from dreams in 2016. By running like one, each and every relay team proved that the secret to the collective success is rather simple. All for one, and one for all. That's the only way it works.

For some, Gazprom Petrol Stations relay half-marathon was an opportunity to test their physical endurance, for others, a chance to explore the city in an entirely new attire, whereas for everyone, it was a way to share the half-marathon win.

Titled Nektar Fun Run, the three-kilometer-long pleasure race took place parallel to the half-marathon race. The title sponsor of the pleasure race was Nektar, a brand of Banjaluka’s Brewery, because the race in which everyone wins corresponds to the brand’s vision and company’s mission to animate as many people as possible to be active and to include physical activity in their everyday life.

The pleasure race was opened not only for the people of Banjaluka, but for the city’s guests, as well, who aren’t professional sports players, but enjoy it as a form of recreation. In the pleasure race, everything was allowed. Everything apart from absence. Nektar Fun Run and 2nd Banjaluka Half-marathon were an opportunity to present the city in the best way possible and to raise its popularity in the fields of tourism and economy.
